Many people I have talked to think that jerky is tough and difficult to chew. They liken it to dried out shoe leather. Unfortunately, many even believe that all jerky has a similar flavor and texture. However, the truth is that all jerky is not the same!
Here is our difference:
Mountain America uses specific cuts of meat that give us a much thicker and moister cut. Our processes retain the moisture, not remove it like the thinner shoe leather cuts of jerky that are widespread. We have many clients with dentures, or other jaw issues, that have no problem enjoying our jerky. Some companies offer shredded beef jerky or a jerky chew, but we don’t need to. Our products are moist and flavorful.
If you are still on the fence about trying our beef jerky, start with a softer meat such as our Turkey Jerky or maybe our fabulous Salmon Jerky or Tuna Jerky. Also on the softer side are some of our exotic jerky flavors like our Ostrich jerky. Many of our game jerky is very moist and pliable and loaded in flavor. Once you try it, you will be hooked.
