We have 2 new items in the shop for you to try. The Wild Alaskan Trout Spread and Wild Alaskan Salmon Spread. These are both packaged to travel easily and work well with any types of crackers or bread that you want. Perfect for travelers, hunters, hikers and the like as a snack item or a light meal.

We had a reviewer give our new items a try and here are her thoughts:

The Wild Alaskan Trout Spread
The packaging on this item is great for tossing in a backpack along with some crackers for a quick lunch or snack when you are traveling, fishing, hiking or just don’t have time for a full lunch. The lid pulls back and the product is the consistency of a pate. I was expecting a fish scent, but there was hardly any scent at all. This is good if you are in an enclosed space.

I used crackers as a base and I spread the Trout Spread on to my cracker. The taste is extremely mild. It is a combination of trout and cream cheese with a touch of spices. I added some salt and a touch of lemon juice and it brought out a bit more of the flavor. The spread did spread well and it was easy to use a cracker and even dip it right out of the container. This is a great item to keep on hand for fast on the go snacks or meals.

I also was sent some of the Chipotle Salmon Spread to try. The attributes of the packaging are the same as the Trout Spread. I used crackers as my base and I tried the Salmon Spread. This is extremely mild in fish taste. It is a mix of cream cheese and salmon along with some spices. The Chipotle flavor was mild as well so not overly spicy. I sliced lemon and added the juice to it and the taste is very good. This one I would take as an on the go meal or snack. It would also be good as an appetizer to a nice meal or cocktail party.
