First time ever eating Elk. I was surprised at how good it tasted. Almost like a tastier beef taste to it. It was hard to eat just one and a lot of the times I didn’t! I would try this again, next time I’ll buy more.

Another great one! The first few bites were unreal, but I can’t comment on anything after that as I pretty much inhaled the rest of the package.

The elk was delicious. Not gamey at all and packs a punch of flavor. Jerky fans must

Ordered Elk jerky along with Venison, really enjoyed the flavoring and texture of the elk! Really tasty stuff and will likely order again in the near future!

Recently, I had a big craving for some venison jerky, but couldn’t find a local store with it in stock, so I resorted to purchasing online. I grabbed some elk along with it, just to try it out, and oh buddy. The deer was in the dust when I tasted the elk jerky. I am in love. The original elk jerky could bring about world peace. Hands down the greatest jerky– if not the greatest food– I’ve ever tasted. Please continue whatever it is you’re doing, but please, make a bigger pack than the 3 oz.!

    The Q-Review

(Original Elk review) …While some flavors were better than others, there is no question that I would rate the entire product line 5 stars. It’s difficult, but I’ll try to rank the flavors to give you an idea of my favorites. In reality, you can’t go wrong with any of them.…

Elk Jerky: This lean elk jerky has a bit of extra chew. Like the beef, it too is a good balance of salty and savory flavor. The black pepper is a bit more pronounced, but not over powering. This jerky reminds me a great deal of the home made venison jerky I make in the fall.

(Original Elk review) I was debating on whether to use this site or some other ones I found, but after seeing this company’s BBB rating (Better Business Bureau), which is an A+ by the way, I decided to go with Mountain America and I must say that this is some of the best jerky I’ve ever had. Especially the teriyaki salmon!

I originally came to this website just to get venison jerky, but when I saw all the options and all the different kinds I had to try some of the others.

For my first order I got the smallest sizes to try them out first. I started out with alligator, wild boar, buffalo, salmon, venison and elk. Out of all of them I would say the salmon and venison were my favorite. My mom really liked the alligator. I mean all of them are good, but if I had to choose my least favorite It would probably have to be the wild boar. It wasn’t terrible or anything, just a little drier than the others. The venison was what I expected and wanted: a good piece of deer jerky.

The elk and buffalo sorta tasted the same, but they were really good too. You can really taste the difference between those and regular beef jerky. Not to much gaminess but just the right amount of difference to where you could tell that your eating an exotic meat.

All in all, I’d have to say that the Mountain America jerky is some of the best and authentic jerky I’ve tried so far, and I’ve tried a lot.

If you are debating on trying their jerky, i recommend that you do. They have no fillers and its all 100% legit. And the shipping time was great too. I stay in Alabama and it got to me on the 3rd day. I will definitely be returning for some more good jerky.

    p.s. Try the teriyaki salmon!

(Original Elk review) Jerky, it’s what’s for breakfast. Avoid the stuff in the bar jar. Forget the Big Foot stuff. Give your doggie a chew too. Got Yak? Bison, try some. Elk, oh yeah. Take it fishing, I’m hooked on it. Beef Jerky, the other red meat. Don’t go camping without it. Mountain America Jerky can’t be beat. It’s simply the best.

(Original Elk review) The stuff they sell at the convenience store counter doesn’t have a right to be called jerky!

Once I tried Mountain America I was hooked. It’s absolutely delicious (addictive), and healthy to boot – really low in saturated fat and cholesterol, almost pure protein (I usually go for elk or buffalo).

    I HIGHLY recommend this stuff!
